FFI Fly Casting Education Program
Marketing Communications (MarCom) Support Form
User's Guide
WELCOME
What is MarCom? MarCom is essentially marketing communications that help FFI share our messages and connect with our target audiences.
These messages can be shared through a combination of traditional and digital marketing strategies, like advertising, public relations, social media, content marketing and direct marketing.
The primary aim of FFI MarCom is to create brand awareness, engage with customers, and enhance interaction by delivering consistent messages through various channels.
Why is brand consistency important? It's important to maintain brand consistency to ensure that FFI is presented uniformly across all marketing channels. Just like a person has a unique way of speaking, dressing, and behaving, our FFI brand should have a consistent tone of voice, distinct identity through cohesive use of typefaces, color palette and imagery, as well as communicating values that align with our core principles.
Brand consistency is crucial for increasing recognition, trust, loyalty, and setting FFI apart from our competitors. This approach also ensures that our international brand and messages are consistent with clients worldwide.
MarCom also plays a vital role in managing FFI's brand reputation and effectively communicating our unique value proposition. In short, MarCom exists to help you communicate with your audience.
HOW TO REQUEST FFI MARCOM SUPPORT
FFI and the Fly Casting Education Program Committee are available to support the promotion of any casting education function, Fly Casting Skills Development event, and club and council casting activities. Use the Request for MarCom Support form to provide information necessary for FFI and FCEP to produce requested marketing materials.
Its important to understand the identified lead times and delivery times required to provide promotional support. The form below must be submitted 8 weeks prior to an in-person event date. This allows for information clarification, production, and delivery of materials to you for your promotional efforts. If you submit the form less than 8 weeks prior to your event date, we will follow-up with options that can be achieved on the timeline available, if possible.
If you are requesting marketing support for individual casting instruction, please include a date that you would like to begin promotion.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
After the information is submitted, it will be sent to the respective FCEP MarCom team who will reach out to you with confirmation or additional questions. Once all event information is confirmed, we’ll produce materials, and send your way! This typically takes 1-2 weeks depending on updates required, so you should have about 6 weeks to promote, and we find this is a productive timeline to drive awareness and interest for in-person events.
