COVID-19

As all of us strive to navigate the challenges presented to our communities in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, Fly Fishers International recognizes we are facing some important decisions. 

Unless absolutely necessary, and due to the stringent nature of the current CDC guidance, we would recommend that you to postpone, reschedule, or cancel upcoming events, including all Casting Instructor Certification Program events worldwide. We will continue to re-evaluate future scheduling and provide updates on CDC guidelines as they evolve.

To assist with finding ways to connect electronically FFI is a providing the list of free services which you might find helpful.  If, in the event, the free services are inadequate to meet your needs please contact the FFI office for further assistance. 406-222-9369 X109.

A quick google search came up with a list of "6 Best Free Conference Call Services"

  • FreeConference.com - While there are different levels of service, the free account allows meeting hosts to hold an unlimited number of conference calls with up to 5 online participants or 400 phone participants. Video conferencing, screen sharing, call summary, and a virtual whiteboard are all available with a free membership.  With mobile apps available for both iPhone and Android phones, it’s possible to set up and run FreeConference.com high-quality conference calls right from your mobile phone or tablet.
  • Skype for Business - Allows for an unlimited number of calls on a monthly basis with free conference calling for up to 10 participants.  Skype does not offer conference numbers for participants to dial in, but attendees can join conference calls through the free desktop or mobile phone apps.
  • Google Hangouts - Any conversation can be pivoted into a free group VOIP call for up to 10 contacts, which can be spontaneous or effortlessly scheduled in Google Calendar. There is no time limit for online meetings run through Google Hangouts or the Google Hangout Chrome extension. Meeting hosts are provided with all the usual free conference calling features like the ability to mute/unmute participants, call recording, and mobile phone apps to enable you to attend a meeting on the go.
  • FreeConferenceCall.com - is truly a free service and does not have any paid service levels. The available features include up to 1,000 participants, call recording, and a mobile app.
