The North Eastern Council of Fly Fishers International cordially invites you to join us during the Marlborough Fly Fishing Show for a Fly Casting Instructor Continuing Education Workshop.

Saturday, January 18^th from 12:00 noon to 4:30 PM at the Royal Plaza Hotel and Trade Center, Marlborough Massachusetts.

World-Champion Casting Styles: How and Why to Copy Them
Macauley Lord (MCI) and Craig Buckbee (MCI) will conduct  a two-part, highly interactive program that we expect will transform your casting and teaching, using video clips of World Champions Maxine McCormick, Steve Rajeff, and of the incomparable Bruce Richards.

We will cast, outdoors, in their styles. Your peers will video you doing this with your own phone or tablet. We will compare outcomes as a group, indoors.

1. Re-Engineering Your Style At 40 Feet
   How to cast short, in the differing styles of Maxine McCormick and Steve Rajeff.
    
2. Re-Engineering Your Style at 85 Feet
   How to change your distance style from that of Bruce Richards to the very different style of Maxine McCormick, or vice versa.

The program is open to casting instructors, certified or otherwise.

• You will use your tablet or smart phone in this program. And we strongly recommend that you bring a tablet because of it’s great-for-learning screen size. 
• It is required that you have the app Hudl Technique (on your Apple device) or Coaches Eye (on your Android device). 
• Bring a 5-6 wt. outfit with a bright line, so it is easily visible to the camera and your peers.
• Dress warmly, because we’ll be casting and filming outside for a while.
