Dave Peterson is a retired school superintendent who has been a fly fisher for over 35 years. Dave’s involvement in FFI began through his local FFI charter club, the West Michigan Hacklers. He is a member of the Board and Vice President for Conservation for the Great Lakes Council of FFI. Dave is a life member of FFI, has served on the Education Committee, Executive Committee and as Chair of the Conservation Committee for the last three years. Dave lives with his wife, Nancy, in Pentwater, Michigan and his home waters include the nearby the Pere Marquette River. Dave has two daughters, a son, and six grandchildren who are all becoming avid anglers.
After being appointed by the FFI Board of Director’s Dave said, “I am honored to be given the opportunity to serve as the new Chairman of FFI’s Board of Directors. My goal is to ensure that FFI’s Board of Directors, our Committees, and our Councils and Clubs work hand in hand with our President and CEO and the FFI staff to continue to advance our collective vision to become the definitive voice of fly fishing of All Fish, All Waters.”
