2024 Fall Continuing Education Workshop

Fly Fishers International Chesapeake Council and Eastern Waters Council invite you to join them for their annual Fall Continuing Education Workshop. This year’s workshop is expanded to two-days and a full day of activities are planned for each workshop. Attendees should be prepared to take an active role in order to get the most out of the event.
Friday, October 4, 2024 (9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M)
This workshop is intended for current MCI’s, MCI Candidates, and CI’s who are considering becoming a Master Certified Casting Instructor. The day will consist of multiple sessions covering some of the off-water demonstration tasks found on the MCI evaluation. Additionally, there will be open discussions on the state of the MCI and EDP programs. Following the workshop there will be a no-host social at a local watering hole.
Saturday, October 5, 2024 (9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M)
This workshop is intended for current CI’s, CI Candidates, and FFI members who are considering becoming a Certified Casting Instructor. The day will consist of multiple sessions covering the majority of the demonstration tasks found on the CI evaluation. Additionally, there will be open discussions on the state of the FFI casting program, the newly published CI/THCI Roadmap, and CI exams.
A full day of activities are planned. Attendees should:
- Be prepared to take an active role in order to get the most out of the event
- Bring a Rod Outfit, a copy of the FFI CI test & FFI CI Study Guide, and a method for taking notes
- Bring Lunch and snacks (Organizers will provide coffee, donuts, and bagels as well as drinks on both days)
