We can never thank all our volunteers enough! If you see a volunteer at the Fair tell them how much you appreciate them!
Putting together the annual Fly Fishing Fair is an enormous job and the great experience you enjoy as an attendee is the result of the hard work of literally hundreds of volunteers. There are four main groups of volunteers and they include: the dedicated teachers/instructors who demonstrate and teach workshops, the Fly Fishing Fair Show Committee, the Local Committee, and the people who volunteer on site.
Our instructors, demonstrators, presenters all volunteer their time and offer their expertise to provide a top notch learning experience and we can’t begin to thank them enough. These individuals commit their time and talent to provide the instruction which is large part of what the Fair is about - networking and learning.
The Fly Fishing Fair Committee works throughout year to plan every detail of the show. They are charged with overseeing each main category, organizing schedules, sending correspondence, and providing assistance to FFI staff. They are an amazing group of people who put hours of time and energy into producing the Fair.
The Local Committee is a group of volunteers from the host location who help to organize everything on the local level. They work all year to put the pieces together and make your experience one you won’t soon forget. This includes welcoming the FFI to setting up venues, food service, requesting local donations for our auction and raffles, putting together the exceptional lineup of local workshops, and much more.
Our on-site volunteers have many jobs that include but are not limited to helping with the auction and raffle, registration desk, day pass, assisting with the kid’s camp, and making sure seminars run efficiently. The people who take the time to assist with volunteer duties throughout the week are those who keep things on track and running smoothly during the week.
Volunteers are needed for the upcoming Fair in 2018. If you would like to help, sign up now!
