Fly Fishers International will host the first Leadership Development Workshop on Tuesday, July 23, during the 2019 Expo in Bozeman, Montana. The FFI Leadership Development Workshop is a full-day program designed to provide information and assistance for experienced and new leaders from FFI Councils and Clubs.
The Workshop program will focus on FFI Council and/or Club operation, and the connection to FFI membership services and benefits. Of critical importance will be a session to discuss with FFI Leadership the strength and needs of Councils and Clubs to improve services to FFI membership. The Workshop faculty will be current and former FFI Leaders and professional presenters where appropriate. A new “mentoring” opportunity for Council and Club leaders will also be initiated. Participants will develop a better understanding of the FFI Operations and Mission, and how to provide for their own Council and Club opportunities. The program will feature presentations and discussions of the following topics:
The Workshop will close with a roundtable discussion opportunity for participants to discuss with FFI Leadership, Council and Club needs to improve services to the membership. Each participant will receive a working document to take home as a reference. The Workshop document will also be made available in the online Learning Center.
Registration for this workshop will be part of the Expo online registration system and will require a recommendation by your local Council.
